During our trip to St. Jude, I held a discussion about the twice a year giant Arts and Crafts Market in Canton, MS. Some of the ladies were interested in going. In Canton, MS and throughout the South and the nation, they call it The Flea Market. An event, which is nationally famous, the Canton Flea Market Arts and Crafts Show is held on the lawn of the historic Madison County Courthouse, as well as along all of the side streets and it is indescrible as to how many vendors and different crafts are displayed for sale as well as lots of food. Also, in the past during the October Show there were lots of Christmas items, decorations, children's clothing. This event is voted one of the Top Twenty Events in the southeast.

I am, therefore, putting this trip together if anyone in the BRCC is interested.

I have blocked (10) rooms at LaQuinta Inn and Suites in Canton, MS. King rooms with sleeper sofa, all non-smoking are $145.00 per night plus tax.

Hotel telephone number is 601/855-2121. The BLOCK of ROOMS is under JANE BOUDREAUX BLOCK. When you call to reserve your room PLEASE LET LaQuinta know that you want a room in my block. You will give them your information and your credit card. First come, first served.

The HOTEL will hold this block of rooms until Wednesday, September 1, 2010. After that date, any that have not been booked by that date will be PUT BACK in the system.

Departure Place: Ochsner Hospital parking lot on O'Neal Lane.

Event Times: 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

Drive FAMILY vehicle as you may want to bring lots of stuff back. Bring Walkie Talkies.
